    Halibut fisher hit with $100,000 fine

    A commercial fisherman who falsely reported his catches of halibut has been ordered to pay a $100,000 fine.  Freddie Joe Hankins of Cove, Oregon, was sentenced in Anchorage for lying about where he had caught 31,000lb of halibut. He was fined $25,000 and must pay $75,000 as a community service payment.
